Keep the Ball Rollin'

May 25, 2017

Keep the Ball Rollin’ is a four person “best ball” golf tournament held annually at Kings Walk Golf Course, with proceeds donated to the “Perry Nakonechny Youth Sports Fund”, a memorial fund supporting youth sports in Grand Forks held under the Grand Forks Parks & Recreation Foundation.

Perry Nakonechny (Nako) passed away at age 47 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Nako, a former Sioux Hockey Player, coached hockey at Grand Forks Red River High School and was also an educator in the school system for many years. He is remembered as a great teammate and even greater family man. Nako inspired many people, young and old. Through the Foundation, his legacy will live on and continue to impact area youth.
